300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
Suru Studio is proud to partner with Downward Dog Yoga Centre to offer its exclusive 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.
Downward Dog Yoga Centre’s 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training program helps you build on your foundational 200-hour training so you can further develop your skills and feel more confident to effectively lead a dynamic, informative and well-integrated yoga class.
Module 1 is a four-week intensive, which includes just over 160 hours of core courses, which begins in Hamilton from August 3 to August 31, 2020.
Module 2 consists of 30 hours of weekly practicum classes that must be a requirement for Yoga Alliance Accreditation for the 300-hour program. Module 2 can be taken at Suru Studio in Hamilton or at Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto.
Module 3 consists of 60 hours of elective weekend courses that can be taken over the course of one year.
Module 4 is 30 hours of personal practice and study, which is taken at your own pace over the course of the year.
This month-long intensive is the first time Downward Dog’s teaching faculty is offered outside of its Queen Street location in Toronto. The required core courses are taught by directors Ron Reid, Marla Meenakshi Joy, and Pat Harada Linfoot. As a student in the program, you may continue to complete your training through weekend electives offered at Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto, at Suru Studio in Hamilton or at the annual immersion course in Costa Rica. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a certification from Downward Dog Yoga Centre.
The teacher training program covers 160+ hours of core courses in August 2020:
- Modern Day Asana: Enriching the Relationship between Science and Tradition with Pat Harada Linfoot (40 hours)

- The Next Step in Yoga Anatomy – Integrated Biomechanics with Chris Kummer (40 hours)
